Arrived to find the door smashed at the front of the hotel- not a great start! Check in process, despite checking in online took 15 minutes due to only two staff members working and they appeared to be understaffed. As a Hilton Honours member you can choose your room before arrival. We did this- we didn’t get the room we chose- unsure why! You can also use a digital key- did this and it never worked! Physical keys, was given 3 keys and only 2 worked! Let down in the room as no bottled or canned water- every other hotel and Hilton provides free bottled water in rooms! Bed itself was rather hard and meant an uncomfortable nights rest, and waking with more aches and pains! Room was too warm- AC finally kicked in about 3am in the morning! Location was perfect, shower nice and powerful but the hotel needs more investment in comfortable beds and more staff. Other hotel brands also have access to vending machines for guests to use- nothing at Hilton though. A seperate review has been made about the Recess restaurant as that wasn’t great either. Overall, would recommend the hotel BUT if you have used other brands this maybe a let down.

Booked the twin room for 3 nights to attend the Deftones show at the OVO Hydro with a friend. The main intention was to find a place near the venue and after evaluating all the nearby hotels, we chose this one for the quiet location right beside the river and its price. Room was a little small for 2 people but since we packed rather light, it wasn't a big issue. We didn't get the River view but rather the Venue view, which was fine too, but nothing spectacular being on a first floor level. Beds were comfy but rather narrow. Pillows were good too. Everything in the room worked perfectly except for the air condition system, as sometimes it felt a little colder even at the highest setting. Shower pressure was on spot with instant hot water. Breakfast was pretty good quality although missed some more variety in breads and cold food options. The staff was super nice and helpful. For my fellow "gym rats" - The gym is 24h. opened which is always a positive for me. Gym itself has no bench press or bar, dumbbells go only up to 18kgs but was positively surprised to find a dual adjustable pulley station, something that saved my workout sessions. In general, I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for a calm place far from the city center hassle with very nice views but still at walking distance from the city.

Lovely hotel with a nice bar area and restaurant. Great location if you are going to a concert. Rooms very reasonably priced but look slightly dated. Maybe could do with a little refresh. Great views of the Clyde and Ibrox in the distance from the river side rooms.

Great location and the view from the river is very nice. Room size is small but still decent. Biggest issue were the pillows. They were so soft that it was so hard to sleep on them. Asked them for the firmer pillows and they only have extremely soft pillows which is a shame. Apart if this issue the experience of staying in the hotel was good.

Great location for the arena. The room was small, if you are a curvier person, definitely upgrade your room. Great view of the bridge and the water. Also the staff were great at reception, some were at the bar, however one younger guy, and one younger girl on there were rather rude. Drinks are very expensive too. Has plenty of parking, and it's only £10 for 24 hours.

Popped in for a coffee while walking along the the banks of the Clydeside. This bar area offers comfortable surroundings and provides a great stop off point while walking. I ordered two teas along with a flat white and a latte. My only complaint was that both coffees were only lukewarm. However the price was very reasonable. The table we sat at, provided a good vantage point for viewing the River Clyde as it flows through central Glasgow. And this more than made up for the lukewarm coffee. I will certainly return here for the ambience and the location.

The hotel was nice, very clean, the room we were in had a bit of disrepair I expect from heavy use; loose shower rails, poorly flushing toilet etc. But overall it was a pleasant stay. I had to lower my review however for other reasons, on check-out as I was leaving I had dropped my wallet in the lobby, I had driven around 30mns away before realising and I knew thats where I had dropped it as I remembered having it in my hand in the lobby right before leaving, so it was between there and the car park. I was completely unable to phone reception, continually manouvered through AI bots until finally getting a number for the front desk, which was never answered after numerous calls. Further to this; on return to the hotel, they had no wallet at reception and asked for my details to contact me if they found it, I never thought much of it till my friend pressed to see the security footage to find out where it is; because I was sure of where I had lost it, and some member of staff had stashed it in a backroom away from the reception. Now I'm no expert and I don't want to jump to conclusions, but I dropped it less than 5ft from Reception, to not hand it straight in seems to me as a dishonest act and completely unnecessary and I feel strongly this was someones attempt at theft. I thanked the staff for returning it to me however and, again, I did enjoy my stay. EDIT: Updated to a 4 to reflect the manager response.
